ICARUS Mail Organizer Terms of Service

ICARUS is a one-time Gmail setup tool. You choose email groups, approve Google, and ICARUS creates the matching labels and label-only sorting rules.

What ICARUS changes

ICARUS only adds the labels and filters represented by your choices. Its rules add one label to matching new mail. They do not read, send, delete, archive, forward, or mark messages read.

Running setup again is additive and safe. It fills in missing matching labels and rules without creating duplicates. Choosing fewer groups later does not remove groups from an earlier setup.

Your responsibility

Choose the Gmail account you want organized, review Google's permission screen, and select only categories you want. You can remove the labels and filters in Gmail settings at any time.

Private beta

While Google lists ICARUS as Testing, only Google accounts added as approved test users can complete setup. Testing access can change or expire. The labels and filters already created in Gmail continue working because they do not need ICARUS to stay connected.

Availability

ICARUS is provided as-is during the beta. Gmail or Google OAuth changes can interrupt setup. A failed or partial setup does not damage your mail, and you can safely try again.
